I'm building a tool to 'format' your assets in Blender. This is the story of Elbo Studio
Picture this, you're making this super cool furniture pack and you're on a time crunch. You've spend SO much time modeling and texturing every model and you're almost done! There's just one problem, your blend file is a mess...you unhide all your models and not only are they all at the world origin, but they're all facing directions seemingly at random! On top of that, on some models you even forgot to place the origin properly!
You do a quick face palm, it's ok, we've all been there, go ahead and get it out.
I believe your time is too valuable to be wasted on that kind of tedious, soul crushing work.
My name is Nick, and I'm a solo developer and a long-time Blender user. For the past 6 months, I've been dedicating my heart and soul to solving this problem among others. That's why I'm creating Elbo Studio, with the mission to build tools (some of which will use AI), not to replace you as an artist, but to genuinely help you automate the things you really don't want to be doing! I want to help you keep making art in a world where AI is becoming more and more prevelent!
It's time to Pivot!
At least I hope so anyways! Pivot is my first professional-grade addon that converts hours of manual labor into peace of mind and when I say perfectly, I mean PERFECTLY, formatted assets.

Here's what it does, the moment you click the buttons, Pivot's handwritten engine uses analytical geometry to fix not just the rotations, but the origins, and even the positioning of an ENTIRE LIBRARY of assets. I'm talking we're capable of formatting thousands of assets at ridiculous speed. That's super useful especially in a world where we can AI generate tons of models.
But That Can't Be All, Right?
Pivot is just the beginning. It's the foundation for a much bigger vision: a full, AI-assisted ecosystem (just wait till you see the plans for Splatter, the next piece of the ecosystem). This devlog is where I'll be sharing every step of that journey, the breakthroughs, the bugs, and the big decisions. We'll be talking about C++, parallel processing, AI training, and everything in between.
If this sounds exciting to you, the best way to follow along is by signing up for the email list here! You'll get these devlogs directly in your inbox and be the first to know when Pivot launches (with a special early-bird discount)."

What's Next
Pivot v1.0 will be released in the next few days, keep an eye out! I can't wait to get everyone's feedback!
TLDR
As someone who always just wants to get to the next asset, I created Pivot to end that in between cleanup for all of us. It's all about jumping back into the fun of creating without the hassle! If this hits home, hop on our newsletter to track the progress and snag early access to Pivot. Let's keep 3D art awesome together!
